Some creative people just can’t be contained, creative people like James Brown… No, not that one.
Emmy-winning screenwriter James H. Brown is a legend in daytime TV. He got his start on Dynasty and went on to write for shows like Port Charles, Guiding Light, and All My Children. Currently, he’s crafting shocks and betrayals for The Young and the Restless.
But, that’s not all he does. In addition to movies, plays, and the occasional salty limerick (we assume), he also wrote and recorded an EP under the name Boomer.
The 4 country-heavy Americana originals on his debut release Boomer (Music from the Other James Brown) sound both nostalgic and modern. Brown’s old school twang and painterly lyrics are woven throughout on songs like “Long Way Home” and “Crooked Avenue.”
