My Name Is Excited

We Like Working With Rad People

At Ridiculous Danger, we're all about collaborating with people we also actually enjoy hanging out with. After all, when you're working on a project, you end up spending a lot of time with your colleagues. That's why we're stoked to partner with Jaime Pressly and her company Liston James Productions on not one, but two stories we can't wait to tell.

As you likely already know, Jaime won an Emmy for playing the quick-witted, quick-tempered Joy in My Name is Earl. Along with her myriad roles in Joe Dirt; Mom; I Love You, Man; and The Re-Education Of Molly Singer to name a few, she's also a talented producer. Some of her recent producing projects include the comedy Making The Rules, which she executive produced, and The Porch, currently in development.

Our partnership with Jaime started with No Cameras Allowed, a series inspired by the life of legendary L.A. club promoter Pantera Sarah. Ridiculous Danger's Kelly Brown and David Vienna co-wrote the pilot and developed the series centered around a group of famous and not-so-famous friends in L.A. during the mid-'90s.

The second project, a series currently being developed by Kelly and David, uses artist and activist Dylan Scholinski's memoir The Last Time I Wore A Dress as a launching pad to tell stories of those who are labeled by society as "broken" and how they confront and overcome that prejudice. Jaime briefly talked about both projects at the recent ATX Television Festival.

As a producer, Jaime finds and lifts up stories of underdogs and the underrepresented. And we like telling stories that make you think, laugh, and question everything you know (I mean, it's right there in our website copy). Plus, we all thoroughly enjoy each others' company. So, y'know, match made in heaven.
